An older cat presented with decreased appetite and abnormal abdominal palpation. Imaging and laboratory tests suggested an abdominal solid tumor, accompanied by mild renal impairment, resulting in high surgical risk.
Given the patient's age and baseline condition, local ablation is selected as the primary treatment modality, supplemented by supportive care to minimize surgical trauma.
Establish a long-term imaging follow-up plan to monitor tumor progression and renal function markers. Local therapy is not curative; the primary goal is quality of life.
